Vladimir Pervuninsky

Vladimir Pervuninsky was born in 1957 in the town of Chelyabinsk. He graduated from the painting-graphics department of Omsk Pedagogical College in 1985, and from the Moscow State Art College named after V. I. Surikov (the class of Academician D. M. Mochalsky) in 1989.

Pervuninsky participated in the All-Union, Republican and Moscow exhibitions, as well as the Urals Exhibition that was held in the town of Kurgan (1992) and "Landscape of Russia" and "The Memorials of the Motherland" (1990, 1991). His works are in private collections both in Russia and in other countries of Europe and America.

Pervuninsky possesses high culture of color and lively anxious painting, which are typical of the traditional Moscow style. All the art genres form an indivisible flow of Pervuninsky’s creative work, and each genre or trend has its own sound.

Vladimir’s paintings executed in an Impressionist manner, call to mind eras past. His paintings engage the viewer in scenes from the last century, and transport one to the streets of Old Moscow, the rivers cafes of turn-of-the-century France, and the Grand Balls of nineteenth century Vienna. His use of color and light creates paintings of an unusual and rare beauty.

Pervuninsky has painted a large number of works devoted to old Moscow. His urban landscapes have a mark of nostalgia and that is why they are slightly idealistic. The amazing plastic expressiveness and considered composition are subordinated to the main idea that is a calm talk of the painter with the soul of the city still not worn out by the history wheel.
